Method
 

  1. Step 1: Rinse the azuki beans under cold water and drain them.
  2. Step 2: In a pot, combine the azuki beans and 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 1 hour, or until the beans are tender.
  3. Step 3: Once cooked, add the sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool.
