- Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together the mirin, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
- Step 2: Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides, then place them in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag.
- Step 3: Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Step 4: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 5: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated salmon fillets on the sheet, skin-side down.
- Step 6: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Step 7: Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Step 8: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
Notes
Leftover mirin salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently to avoid drying it out.
