Ingredients
Method
- Step 1: Prepare your workspace by laying out a clean surface.
- Step 2: Take one gyoza wrapper and place it in the palm of your hand.
- Step 3: Spoon a small amount of filling (about 1 teaspoon) into the center of the wrapper.
- Step 4: Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper.
- Step 5: Fold the wrapper in half over the filling to create a half-moon shape, pressing gently.
- Step 6: Press the edges together to seal, ensuring there are no air pockets.
- Step 7: To create pleats, start from one end and fold small sections of the edge towards the center.
- Step 8: Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling until you have a collection of gyoza.
- Step 9: Once all gyoza are folded, they are ready to be cooked or stored.
Notes
If you have leftovers or want to prepare in advance, place uncooked gyoza in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until solid.
