Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Filling of your choice Minced meat, veggies, or seafood
  • Water

Method

  1. Step 1: Begin by placing a wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface with one corner pointing toward you.
  2. Step 2: Spoon a small amount of filling (about 1 teaspoon) into the center of the wrapper. Don’t overfill, or they might burst!
  3. Step 3: Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper to help it seal.
  4. Step 4: Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges together firmly to seal.
  5. Step 5: For a traditional wonton shape, take the two outer corners of the triangle and fold them together, sealing with a bit more water.
  6. Step 6: Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling until you have a lovely batch ready to cook.

Notes

Keep a damp cloth over your wontons as you work to prevent them from drying out. If you have leftover filling, consider using it in a stir-fry or soup!
