Method
- Step 1: In a saucepan, combine the dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Heat it over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Step 2: Carefully open the aburaage pouches and place them in the saucepan. Let them simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Step 3: Remove the aburaage from the saucepan and let them cool slightly.
- Step 4: Fill each aburaage pouch with the cooked sushi rice, pressing gently to pack it inside.
- Step 5: If you like, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Inari Age is best enjoyed fresh, but store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
