Ingredients
  

For the Japanese Onion Dressing
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped onion, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, vegetable oil, sesame oil, and grated ginger.
  2. Step 2: Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Step 3: Taste and season with salt and pepper as desired.
  4. Step 4: Transfer the dressing to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Step 5: Shake well before using. Enjoy over salads or as a dipping sauce!

Notes

This dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake before using as ingredients may separate.
