Ingredients
  

For the Mugicha
  • 1 cup roasted barley (mugicha) available at Asian grocery stores or online
  • 4 cups water for brewing

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Step 2: Once the water is boiling, add in the roasted barley and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Remove from heat, strain the tea to separate the barley from the liquid, and allow it to cool or serve hot.

Notes

Store any leftover tea in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You can also add lemon or mint for a refreshing twist.
