- Step 1: In a shallow dish, combine the salmon fillets and shio koji. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for a more intense flavor.
- Step 2: Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat while the salmon is marinating.
- Step 3: Once marinated, pat the salmon dry with paper towels, season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Step 4: Grill or bake the salmon for about 4-6 minutes on each side, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
- Step 5: Serve the salmon with lemon wedges on the side and sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2 days. To reheat, gently warm it in the oven to retain moisture.
