  • 2 lb chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp olive oil adds a lovely richness.
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika gives that deep, smoky flavor.
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder enhances the overall taste.
  • 1 tbsp onion powder complements the garlic beautifully.
  • 1 tsp salt essential for seasoning.
  • 1 tsp black pepper adds a kick.
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper optional for those who like it spicy.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce for serving.

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if you’re feeling adventurous. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
  3. Step 3: Arrange the wings in a single layer on the smoker rack.
  4. Step 4: Smoke the wings for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are cooked through.
  5. Step 5: Remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. Step 6: Serve with your favorite barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze them for up to 3 months.
