- Step 1: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Step 2: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Use a spatula to break it apart as it cooks.
- Step 3: Stir in the diced carrot and potato, cooking for another 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Step 4: Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Stir everything together to combine.
- Step 5: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
- Step 6: Serve the yoshoku over cooked rice, and don’t forget to garnish with fresh parsley for that beautiful touch!
Notes
If you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave until warmed through.
